Gratitude affirmations are a simple tool that can be used daily to practice appreciation and see all the beauty life has to offer.
When I first started this practice, it was very difficult to find meaning in the words I said. I didn’t believe them at first. But that’s okay! This is a journey, and it takes time. Remember, we’re retraining our brains to think a different way.
Our thoughts, feelings, and behavior are affected by our self talk. The way we talk to ourselves has deep meaning and affects everything about us. Let’s be kind to ourselves. We are all human, and I firmly believe every single person is a better version of themselves when we show ourselves kindness.

What Are Gratitude Affirmations?
Gratitude affirmations are positive statements we repeat to ourselves to stay positive.
This practice helps us focus on the positivity we have in our life, and pushes intrusive thoughts away.
If you’re new to this practice, negativity is most likely a subconscious part of your everyday routine. It’s a bad habit, and it’s time for a shift in mindset! Why would you choose to stay in a pit of negativity, when every day could have beauty?
How to Use These Affirmations
There’s a lot of ways you can use these gratitude affirmations in your life. I’ve made a list of my favorites…
- Repeat them to yourself during moments of silence
- Write them in a journal
- Choose 2-3 affirmations to practice throughout the week
- Make a sticky note of an affirmation that resonates with you and put it somewhere you look often (mine are usually on my fridge or the inside of my front door)
- Create a vision board and make your affirmations a big part of your life goals and dreams
