If you’re wondering why self love is important, odds are, you’re not getting enough in your life.
It’s easy to fall into a pattern of people pleasing, especially if it’s the only lifestyle you know.
I remember times when I didn’t even have enough energy to get out of bed, let alone “pamper” myself.
Times got dark, but amusing the idea of self love pulled me out of my rut.
Whether you’re struggling with mental health, or unable to find happiness and purpose (for me, it was both)… self love is the best place to start.
Self Love is…
Self love is growth.
Loving yourself, means you respect your one body and mind.
Self love means you’re loving yourself like your desire to be loved by others.
Self love is allowing yourself to be happy.

Why is self love important?
When you show your mind and body love and respect, you’re happier.
Easy peasy, lemon squeeze right?
The hard part is picking yourself up, and starting.
Not only happiness, but self love is so much more.
Recently for me, I’ve been extremely unhappy and lost. I didn’t like the life I was making for myself.
So what did I do?
I sold my Lexus, terminated my lease at a crazy expensive apartment, and I put in my 2 weeks.
Yes, it’s official… I’m blogging full time!
And honestly, I still have no idea what direction I’m going, but I listened to by body’s needs, and jumped.
Examples of Self Love
Now that we know self love is important, we can start our self love journey. Start simple.
1. Incorporate Positivity and Gratitude into your life.
2. Make time for things you love. Remember who you are.
3. Distance yourself from negative relationships. Manifest your dream life.
4. Set goals for yourself. Don’t settle. Live the life you love.
5. Stop people pleasing. You are a person with your own thoughts and boundaries.
6. Go outside and let the sun kiss your skin. Appreciate your surroundings.
